|Recommended: YesOverall Pretty Good — I had to move here in a pinch and it was extremely easy and straightforward to view the available apartments and sign a lease. The staff is so great and incredibly kind whenever I called the office. Upon moving in the apartment was nice and clean with new carpet. The issue I have is with the Healey Street apartments themselves, they are good for the price point but I found it difficult to live there. First, the surrounding trees leads to a large amount of bugs entering the apartment from every way they can it's the tenants responsibility for pest control so I recommend for you to add that expense to your budget. The window A C unit is actually just shoved into a hole in the wall is not sufficient enough to cool the whole apartment so you have to set up an array of fans to cool it down when its hot out. The heating system was incredibly loud but worked really well. The kitchen is very small and difficult to cook in with no vent system so occasionally the fire alarms will go off. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors talk, cough or laugh. Also, on the second floor you hear people bounding up the stairs or chatting which can be a little disturbing. Again, overall the place was good enough and served its purpose, these are just things that bothered me personally.
Ashley, thank you for your review, and for being so candid! We appreciate your feedback and your suggestions! It was a pleasure serving you!

Thank you James!
|Recommended: YesCozy, friendly neighbors, plenty of green space, peaceful — I love being halfway between Campustown and the rest of Champaign, and I love being in the center of a real neighborhood Plenty of families out for a walk with their dogs and walking distance from the public library and a few of the local cafes.
Thank you, Colleen! We love having you as our resident!!

|Recommended: YesSo-So Apartments for Cheap — Overall it's a good living environment if you're looking for somewhere affordable to live in town, especially if you have a roommate or two. The community here is fairly quiet which I like and I haven't had any neighbors that are rude or unfriendly. The buildings themselves aren't the prettiest and the insides are also fairly meh. If you want an apartment that looks new and stylish, look elsewhere. The interior is plain and has more than a few cosmetic blemishes paint dripping on baseboard, wood chipping on doors, marks here and there from prior tenants, aged and discolored linoleum tile, ugly carpet . That being said, this is not the worst place I've ever lived but far from the best I like it and you get exactly what you're paying for.
We appreciate your honest feedback, Emily.
|Recommended: YesPeace and quiet just outside of campus — I love the location for its' proximity to the main streets Neil St Prospect Ave and the beautiful Champaign Library. There are very rare episodes of neighbors being loud, but definitely not as often as some apartments closer to campus. Most of the time, very quiet -- perfect for graduate students. There's only few guest parking available, but there's always some spots available. I'm a little mixed on the leasing office staff -- some of the girls are incredibly nice while others aren't very friendly. Luckily, I rarely have to go in and interact with them since everything can be taken care by resident portal online super easy to use and navigate . Maintenance staff was very quick in responding my low priority repair request and even left a nice note apologizing for a small mess dust wood chips from fixing my closet door... I definitely didn't expect that sort of gesture from dealing with years of rude maintenance staffs and leasing office from other companies I wish I had found this place sooner
|Recommended: YesFantastic place to live — The building and grounds are very clean and the laundry facilities always seem to be in working order. The residents are very quiet. Other than hearing a car pull up, I hardly ever hear anything. Maintenance has been super quick on any requests unlike my last apartment where I was without hot water for 2 weeks two different times before the situation was fixed. I also really appreciate the portal which is super easy to use and very informative. Paying rent and water online is a snap
|Recommended: YesWell-maintained apartment with dedicated parking spot — The apartment is at second floor which I like because of more privacy. I was surprised at how clean and well-maintained the unit was when I moved in. It has large storage space for the luggage. The apartment is located in a nice and safe neighborhood. The great thing that I like is how many the windows are in the unit, so it is quite bright during the day. I also get dedicated parking spot for my apartment unit and there are also non-dedicated parking spots for guests. The laundry room is great which makes washing drying easy. The staffs are friendly and respond promptly when there is any issue. However, as is typical with in-house gas heater, it can get noisy when the heater is running. And there is no kitchen hood so if I cook, the cooking smell will linger in the house for quite some time. There is A C and ceiling fan in only one bedroom, none in the other it can be very warm in summer . Overall I love the apartment and will recommend to anyone.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review, Aditya. We appreciate the feedback and your residency!
|Recommended: YesGood value for the price — It is a good apartment for the price. Parking is almost always available. The neghborhood is nice and quiet. It is easy to get to. The window A C is not enough to effectively control the entire apartment, so it is like having no A C unless you spend all your time in the bedroom. The kitchen is very small. Very difficult to cook big meals.
|Recommended: YesCalm, homey and simple — These apartments are small but quaint. Large windows let in a lot of natural light. Staff is great and maintenance is speedy
Thank you, Tara, for your review! We love having you for our resident, and we're glad that you are happy!
|Recommended: YesGreat and quiet place to live — It is a quiet place to live, parking availability is not a problem, and the maintenance people are amazing and fix problems in a timely fashion. I am able to take the bus to the university as well as downtown champaign. I am glad I chose to live here.
Thank you, Kim! We are happy to know that you enjoy living at our Healey Street location! Thank you for choosing Royse & Brinkmeyer!
|Recommended: YesCozy Apartment Great Service — I have had a great experience with Royse Brinkmeyer at their Healey St location. Rental prices are much lower than most non-student living, and I have had no notable issues since moving in. Its a relatively quiet area, so aside from creaky floors above me, there is not much sound coming from the surrounding apartments. Maintenance is fantastic, and they respond to your requests in a very reasonable amount of time. The kitchen could definitely use a face lift, particularly the addition of more cupboards, and the windows don't do any favours in the winter to keep the cold out- but overall I love my apartment.
Thank you, Brittany! We enjoy having you as our resident!
