response from property -Thank you Maria!
Love the community and amenities!submitted by Haley L. - |Recommended: YesI love it here. It's quiet and my neighbors are nice. Whenever I have a maintenance problem, the staff are super quick and courteous. You guys are so reliable! I feel sorry for my friends who have awful, uncaring landlords. The apartments and appliances are a little old, but I don't really mind. When my AC broke down, the maintenance guys were really great about getting it fixed in a timely manner, when it kept going out. They always let me know what was going on, and were so polite! I can't hear my neighbors unless they're running around upstairs, but that hardly ever happens, and it's not loud at all. I feel safe here, which is a big deal. All of the residents are good people, despite the neighborhood not being the best. I'me so glad I'm here and not somewhere else! The washing machines take huge loads, which is awesome, because I can get a lot done at once. I also like the cleaning crew that comes in to clean the halls in front, it makes things really nice! :) I've never had to park far away from the doors. The onyl "problem" I have, which really isnt a big one, is the outdated appliances. But I have a gas stove, which is absolutely wonderful, and the fridge does great. I don't mind older stuff as long as it works, which it always does! The apartments are suuuper spacious too, wonderful for entertaining guests.
response from property -Thanks for your review of Stonegate Village... We really appreciate it!

Great layouts and customer service, skinny parking spaces with limited parkingsubmitted by Justin L. - |Recommended: YesIf a great place to live but make sure you have a small car. But it is excellent besides the parking.
Clean, comfortable, feels safe, friendly staff, definitely feels like home.submitted by David S. - |Recommended: YesI would say that it seems like a pretty good neighborhood, the apartments are nice, and it's a place where I can feel like I'm getting my money's worth for the space.
Excellent floor plans! excellent maintenance crew! WOOD FIREPLACE!!!submitted by Jacob C. - |Recommended: YesThe floor plans and vaulted ceilings are awesome! The maintenance crew usually fixes things the day of or the next day. More than enough parking. Apartment heats up really fast. FIREPLACE!! nothing but pure awesomeness. Bus stops right outside the complex, with excellent schedules for buses to UIUC Complaints: Bedroom windows are not well insulated (at all), gets REALLY cold in my bedroom even when the heat is on. Although, the plastic insulating wrap that goes over the window buffers this pretty well. Also the common hallways outside the apartment stink, in the summer its pretty awful....keeping your front door closed keeps it out. But this should really be fixed....doesn't lend to good first impressions. The final one is, my air condition didn't work the day I moved the middle of July ...with a heat index around 110F (no joke)....wouldn't this be something they would check when getting the apartment ready? Again poor first impression Aside from the 3 listed complaints this place is just great. I like it here If you get more Michiganders or people from the cold north, sell them on the wood's your bread and butter
Pretty good, responsive staffsubmitted by Megan P. - |Recommended: YesManagement and maintenance are good, responsive, and respectful. For the most part, the neighbors are good, although you do get the bad one from time to time. Close to bus stops, good location.
I am satisfied in this apartment.submitted by Kyubong C. - |Recommended: YesI hope to upgrade the facility related to shower in the bath.

Awesomesubmitted by Jimmy - |Recommended: YesI never think to write a review about anything online, but decided that Stonegate deserves a good review in return for a great year. I lived in a 2 bedroom on the third floor and loved every day of it. It was SPOTLESS when I moved in. The carpet looked new, the walls were white and I swear inspector gadget couldn't find a spec of dust in the place. The windows are huge which let a ton of light in and I had a balcony that overlooked the pool. All of my neighbors were responsible, quiet and friendly. I only had one minor maintenance issue (bird stuck in the chimney) and it was resolved right away. Everyone in the office was super friendly too. The only bad part was walking down 3 floors to find that the washers and dryers were already in use - other than that there is honestly not one bad thing I can say about it. After 2 years of living elsewhere, I've decided to (hopefully) go back when my current lease is up.
