What does The Pilot have to offer?
The Pilot brings together five unique housing concepts: Three newly constructed buildings, with availability around August 2026, and two pre-existing buildings.
Prairie Townhomes
Stunning two-bedroom townhomes that have been intentionally designed to complement the lovely aesthetic of the Old Town neighborhood they are joining. Some even include an attached garage.

Site Plan
In response to the increasing demand for quality urban living and the historic charm of Champaign's old town, the Pilot will preserve two properties on site while adding three more: Prairie Townhomes, The Alley Lofts, and The Pilot Apartments. It is important to Royse + Brinkmeyer and the design team that these new buildings build on what's great about the old town neighborhood while providing unique new housing solutions.
The site will also include new and improved parking lots, beautiful outdoor community spaces, thoughtful landscaping, and community gardens.

The Pilot Apartments
