Utilities
The utilities you pay for will depend on your property. If you have any questions about which utilities (if any) you need to set up and pay you can always contact your community manager!
Utilities that are not in your name at the beginning of your lease will result in additional charges. Review your Utility Agreement + page 7 of your Lease Agreement.
Please read the instructions below regarding setting up utility billing in your name:
Ameren (Gas + Electricity)
Only applicable if your Utility Agreement states that you are to pay Ameren directly.
Call Illinois Ameren to set up billing in your name as of your lease start date. It is best to do this about 2 weeks prior to your lease start date, but no earlier than 60 days. You are responsible for paying Ameren.
Illinois American Water
Only applicable if your Utility Agreement states that you are to pay Illinois American Water directly.
Call Illinois American Water to set up billing in your name as of your lease start date. It is best to do this about 2 weeks prior to your lease start date, but no earlier than 60 days. You are responsible for paying Illinois American Water directly.
